The Bowery Hotel, NY Wedding | Katie + Craig

Just days before Halloween, on October 28th, Katie and Craig celebrated their whimsical wedding at the iconic Bowery Hotel in NYC. Having previously photographed an intimate wedding at The Bowery Hotel during the challenges of COVID in 2020, returning to capture the magic of Katie and Craig’s celebration was a joyous experience.

The Bowery Hotel, a symbol of the “OLD New York,” boasts a rich history intertwined with the stories of its guests. The Bowery Terrace, adorned in classic old-world style, features wood-beamed 13-foot ceilings, salvaged brick walls, Moroccan tiled floors, antique tapestries, an expansive outdoor terrace, and a captivating glazed fireplace. Described by the Huffington Post as a hidden gem with a relaxed and warming atmosphere, The Bowery Terrace served as the perfect backdrop for this magical occasion.

Katie and Craig began their day at The Bowery Hotel in a bridal suite with a terrace spacious enough to host a small wedding. It was on this vast terrace that they shared their first look, exchanging glances, conversations, and hugs. Katie and Craig had a private moment just with each other reading their vows to each other, setting the tone for a day filled with intimacy and love.

Following the intimate vow exchange, we ventured to Bond Street, where a magical bright yellow Ginkgo Tree awaited. The grounds beneath were adorned in a sea of yellow, a sight that perfectly aligned with Katie and Craig’s shared love for nature. The decision was unanimous, and we headed for the Yellow Ginkgo Tree in the heart of Manhattan to do Katie and Craig’s wedding portraits.

Returning to The Bowery Hotel, The Bowery Terrace came alive with wedding guests started to filled the ceremony space. As Katie walked down the aisle escorted by her parents, Craig’s eyes welled with tears, encapsulating the emotional beauty of the moment. The wedding ceremony, sweet and humorous, was officiated by their friend Michael Williams.

Guests spilled out onto the outdoor terrace for a delightful cocktail hour. Meanwhile, the staff at The Bowery Hotel, alongside Planner Ani Wolff and her team, worked their magic, transforming the room into a spooky yet super chic version of Harry Potter “Hogwarts The Great Hall.”

The remainder of Katie and Craig’s wedding unfolded just as expected—fabulous and magical. The Bowery Hotel provided the perfect canvas for their love story, creating a celebration that will be cherished for years to come.

Just days before Halloween, on October 28th, Katie and Craig celebrated their enchanting wedding at the iconic Bowery Hotel in NYC. Having previously photographed an intimate wedding at The Bowery Hotel during the challenges of COVID in 2020, returning to capture the magic of Katie and Craig's celebration was a joyous experience.

The Bowery Hotel, a symbol of the "OLD New York," boasts a rich history intertwined with the stories of its residents.

Their private moment culminated in the tender reading of their vows and letters to each other, setting the tone for a day filled with intimacy and love.

Following the intimate vow exchange, we ventured to Bond Street, where a magical bright yellow Ginkgo Tree awaited. The grounds beneath were adorned in a sea of yellow, a sight that perfectly aligned with Katie and Craig's shared love for nature and stars. The decision was unanimous, and we headed for the captivating Yellow Ginkgo Tree in the heart of Manhattan. With Bond Street serving as our backdrop, we captured stunning photos that reflected the essence of this unique couple.

Returning to The Bowery Hotel, families awaited their formal portraits with Katie and Craig. The Bowery Terrace came alive with wedding guests, artists, musicians, and beautiful New Yorkers, all eagerly anticipating the ceremony. As Katie walked down the aisle escorted by her parents, Craig's eyes welled with tears, encapsulating the emotional beauty of the moment.
