My first wedding at Arrow Park was back in June 2022 when I had the pleasure of photographing Jackie and Aron’s wedding. From that moment, other wedding inquiries and opportunities arose, allowing me to capture the love stories of more wonderful couples at Arrow Park. That’s how I met Kelsey. Kelsey is the sales manager at Arrow Park, and since then, she has been a fan of my work. When it came time to plan her own wedding, I was delighted and honored that she chose me to document her beautiful celebration at Arrow Park.
Kelsey was well-prepared for the chilly weather, as she was getting married in December, so the wedding took place inside the mansion. When I arrived, Kelsey was finishing up her hair and makeup, just about ready to put on her dress. Families started to arrive, filling the space with warm greetings and laughter—one of my favorite scenes to witness on a wedding morning. Kelsey stepped into her dress, slipped on her gloves, and completed her final wedding preparations. She sparkled even more than the diamond on her finger as she walked over to see her groom.
As Kelsey walked down the aisle escorted by her father, emotions filled the room. Tears welled up in the eyes of their family and friends while Liron stood at the altar, watching her with a big smile. With their loved ones witnessing, Kelsey and Liron exchanged vows and sealed their marriage with a kiss.
Cocktail hour began with delicious hors d’oeuvres and drinks in hand, as guests excitedly welcomed the newlyweds into the room. Midway through the reception, Albanian dancers performed a traditional folk dance, bringing everyone to the dance floor as one big family. The night was filled with joy, laughter, and celebration. As all fun times do, the evening eventually came to an end, and we sent off Kelsey and Liron with a magical sparkler exit.
Winter Wedding Tips for Arrow Park, NY:
- Embrace the Indoor Spaces: Arrow Park’s mansion provides an elegant and cozy setting for a winter wedding. The warm fireplaces and historic charm create a romantic atmosphere perfect for a chilly December day.
- Prepare for the Cold: If you’re planning a winter wedding, consider stylish layers like faux fur wraps, long-sleeved dresses, or elegant gloves to stay warm while looking stunning.
- Plan for Early Sunset: Winter days are shorter, so plan your timeline accordingly to make the most of natural light for photos. Consider a first look to capture beautiful portraits before it gets dark.
- Add Seasonal Touches: Enhance the winter wedding ambiance with seasonal decor, such as candles, string lights, evergreen arrangements, and warm color palettes to complement the cozy indoor setting.
- Offer Warm Beverages: Keep guests comfortable by serving hot cocoa, mulled wine, or warm cider during cocktail hour to add a festive and welcoming touch.
Kelsey and Liron’s wedding was a perfect example of how a winter celebration at Arrow Park can be both intimate and breathtaking. I was honored to capture their special day and look forward to photographing more magical winter weddings in this beautiful venue.
