Leah and Kevin’s wedding was nothing short of enchanting—fitting for two fellow Harry Potter fans! From the emotional first look to their joyous celebration surrounded by family and friends, their special day was filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments.
Their day began early at The View at Lincoln Park, one of Jersey City’s newest and most unique wedding venues, part of the esteemed Landmark Venues collection. Nestled within the historic Lincoln Park, The View offers a modern yet timeless space with breathtaking scenery. The venue’s design is a stunning adaptive reuse of the original Lincoln Lodge (est. 1929), featuring preserved stone facades, timber beams, and antique fixtures. This blend of contemporary elegance and historic charm makes it a truly one-of-a-kind setting for weddings.
When I arrived, I was excited to explore the property and its surroundings. The View’s lush grounds, picturesque willow tree, and nearby landmarks, including the Lincoln Park Fountain, provide endless opportunities for stunning photographs. The morning was quiet as Leah and her bridesmaids arrived, carrying their dresses over their shoulders, and settled into the spacious bridal suite. Later, Kevin and their families arrived, and the anticipation began to build.
Leah and Kevin’s first look by the willow tree was a moment to remember. As the wind danced through the branches, tears filled Leah’s eyes as they read their vows to each other—an intimate, heartfelt exchange that perfectly set the tone for the day.
Guests began filling the chairs in Lincoln Room (the third-floor ceremony space), a modern area with large windows that allow natural light to flood in. This versatile room offers an elegant setting for ceremonies, with views of the surrounding park and cityscape. As Leah walked down the aisle with her father, they exchanged emotional glances, and the energy in the room was palpable.
The celebration moved to The Ballroom, The View’s stunning reception space. With its high ceilings, contemporary design, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the park, the room was transformed into the perfect party atmosphere. Guests cheered as Leah and Kevin made their grand entrance, and their first dance kicked off an evening of fun, laughter, and memories.
Before the day concluded, Kevin had a special request for a photo by the Lincoln Park Fountain, a highlight of the park’s charm. We strolled over with Leah and Kevin to capture some magical portraits by the water. One of the great things about daytime weddings at The View is the ample natural light, ensuring we had beautiful lighting for photos even after the reception.
Leah and Kevin’s wedding was a joy to photograph, and The View at Lincoln Park provided the perfect backdrop for their unforgettable day. Congratulations to the happy couple—I’m so grateful to have been part of your story!
