Sometimes plans don’t go as planned.

I met Brooke and Mike at the parking lot of Historic Richmond Town in Staten Island. We all arrived bit early, I walked over to their car and was told their younger one Tommy had just fallen asleep in the parking lot. Brooke popped her trunk which was filled with Holiday props including ornaments to pillows to red candle holder to table and more! I knew I had to bring my “A” game for this very prepared, very planned and excited mom.

I was feeling good, excited to create on this gorgeous day at Historic Richmond Town! Family was in their matching holiday outfits, sun was out, props were ready but we had two little problems. Grace and Tommy were bit shy and nervous in front of a stranger with a camera, ME.

Brooke, Mike and I tried our best to encourage the kids, bribing them with visit to Target (place everyone loves)! Grace warmed up to me toward the end of the session give me smiles and we were able to get some smiling photos and some not so happy photos.

One thing for sure, when Grace and Tommy looks at these photos later it’ll sure to bring a smile to their faces.
